As we know art comes in many different forms, but this is one that I would have never imagined. It's called Spit Art and done by one of the guys over at Pimply Wimp. It's fascinating how fast he can "spit" the concept so that it is completed before the water even dries.
There is almost no value to doing something like since it won't last forever, but his ability to scale up his images to sizes that require him to walk around to complete will never stop amazing me.

That is at least 4 years of Art School training right there if you ask me.

Sorry Scrivs.... longevity isn't a good meter for "artistic" value...
I know of a ton of artists that thrive on 'temporary' forms of artistic impression.
I think he's got something although I would never pay him to spit something for me.

Is there any particular artistic reason he's using his mouth, and not simply the bottle he's taking sips off?

RightOn: I agree. What I was trying to get at as a career I guess it wouldn't be the best choice, but a great show of self-expression. I know artists aren't in "it for the money", but you have to pay bills somehow.

That would be why I'm working as a customer service rep ;)
It's a BITCH trying to find a way to make a living off of a non-digital art form.

I imagine Jackson Pollock would be proud, or disgusted who knows with those artsy types.
My best guess is that it's easier to get a better degree of control with his mouth then it would be with a bottle?

Haha, apparently the artist thinks that people are more appreciative the maneuvering of the head than of the hands..
Or maybe our saliva+water evaporates slower than just pure water?

I'm guessing the performance is part of the art.
Squirting the water out of a bottle would take some of the performance out of it.

Hah! That's interesting. Can't say I'm interested enough to do an experiment, though ;)
I would appreciate this street-water-drawing more if he wouldn't use his mouth. It feels too artsy and pretentious, tainting what I consider the most interesting point: Fast evaporating artwork.

If you think water from the mouth is extremely shocking... take off your pants sometime.
