I had the same thoughts dvazquez. You can do special things for someone without succumbing to the commercialized heart-shaped boxes and $50 rose bouquet extravaganza.

The same thought here. I hate waiting my time and money.

I skipped all the heart chocolate box crap and since the wife buys into V-Day... I sent her a pajama-gram..

PJ's / a card / and a lavender sachet in a nice hat box...

I figure it's better to succumb to the "holiday" than it is to stand up for my objections and sleep on the couch. :)

At one time I used to see designers make special pages for their significant other for the day...like a tribute. I haven't seen that in a while.

Only thing differently I do, as a web designer, is order flowers online instead of in person lol. I don't spend a ton of money on the holiday, but I do buy some flowers.

But yeah, ditto everyone else. Why do we have to wait for some day to falsely show our love? I mean can't we do it any other day of the year? I have the same feeling about Mother's/Father's Day. Does that mean that for 364 days you can take parents for granted so long as you make them breakfast in bed on Mother's/Father's Day?

I'm taking my lass out for a meal though, but I like to do that anyway. :)

I just made a Card inspired by Bartelme and posted it in my Flickr Album

I wrote a nice love note and taped it to the mirror for him to see in the morning. Of course, I tape love notes to places all the time for him. We did dinner and a movie. :)
