He might just be using it to learn how you built your site.
I've heard this excuse plenty 'o times. "But I was just studying your code, I wasn't planning on making it visible to the public."
Great feature. But what I'm really looking forward to is a mobile version of Firefox. PIE and Opera Mobile just aren't cutting it for me.
I hope your client doesn't find your post here inquiring about what to charge. That might make for an uncomfortable situation.
Good theme. I never understood what the point was adding a subscribe button after each post. I see this on quite a number of sites, yet the links always point back to the main RSS feed. I it does little else than to clutter the context area.
Hmm. Tweet: "and yes, I totally ripped my icon from the Virb Web Design group."?
Not a good sign as far as first steps are for freelancing ;) Where's that oomph to make a mark? Good luck though!
I guess I never took notice of how Dell looked before stumbling on this post.
Initially I thought the image was a screenshot from a game.
Is this kind of like Qwilm?
Someone else mentioned blocking IPs from China. Seems like a drastic move but this particular issue seems to come up more often than I would like.
I always have a difficult time having content or designs removed from domains in China. Sites which are so blatant with their attempts of ripping designs it's almost funny.
Any ideas on the best way to go about addressing this issue other than image rewrite rules for hotlinking? I can't read Chinese but would appreciate any help locating a usable contact address. The forum contact email address in the footer reads mailto:admin@your.com. That says a lot about where this is going.
Hmm.. You are supposed to leave credit only so visitors can find out where the theme was from.. If you're not going to leave the name, at least mention the source of the theme. I know you have a dedicated post explaining where it is from but how many people will find that once the post is buried?
I decided to stick with the 404. Only my version simply presents an archived view of content. 5thirtyone.com/nothing.
Fiftyfoureleven's article was starred when I ran across it in my reader. Seemed to answer a few questions that I myself once contemplated.
I own a Nikon D80 and Sony T10.
Usually Backpack for my persnal todo lists & reminders.
CarbonMade is great... But in all honesty - and I have spoken to the creator who agrees - using the service will not be as effective "professionally" as hosting and maintaining your own.
Another one for Transmit & Textmate.
You could always browse the design group here on 9 and email the site authors directly to see if they're avail for work.
I'm embarrassed, I tried to create my own.
Sara great job. Nice and simple. The only changes - which have already been mentioned - are the link colors (especially :hover). White hover state on a light(er) green background makes it a little challenging to read. Other than that, I love it. Reminds me of the lightness and "fun" of Skype's chat bubbles.
You would think that the designer would put a little more effort into making the trashcan & desk look a little more "connected" rather than cheaply achieving the "look" putting the desk into the garbage. 30 minutes of shaping and carving the desk to match would have resulted in a much more attractive & functional design.
Instrumentals or House.. Anything with lyrics is just too distracting.
Nothing wrong with one page sites. I redid my namesite to mimic a mini landing page that aggregates my latest activities online - is.derekpunsalan.com.
I think they're great as long as they don't scroll too much. I think mine scrolls a little too much - but the bulk of the actual content is located at the top.
Breaking up stylesheets is something I need to start exploring. Every second counts right guys?
I hope a tasteful trend returns. I'd like to see more fleurs. Natural looking backgrounds rather than rigid pixelated backgrounds.
You should grab that domain already if you're thinking of using it. Someone might swoop in and take it just for the fun of it.
Freelance and build a portfolio. I've always scratched my head wondering how things would have panned out had I dropped some money on actual design courses.
Mine is available as well Pink October.
You can count me in for pinkifying my site. I'll release the theme as well... :)
Damn. You beat me to it. I was just thinking about getting something like this up to display my own thumbnails that I've collected for inspiration. I knew someone had to be thinking along the same lines.
I've been using Crazyegg since the early beta. The public release now is exceptional in comparison to what it was before. Before, we could only track single pages. Now, we can track multiple pages with a single line of JS in the footer.
Having a visual-aid in the form of a heat map is a great supplement for current tracking utilities like Mint.
Yes, I find it hard to believe that there were no replies. I for one answer emails within hours.. Minutes if I'm sitting on the computer at the time.
I hate it. Well when compared to the previous state of Technorati. I guess it's only natural to feel a little aloof after a redesign. Honestly, what's with all the colors which seem to scream out for attention? Where's the smooth Technorati of before?
Tyme & Scrivs, Studiometry looks like a more advanced solution for tracking projects on OS X. No Universal Binary release yet which is - honestly - the only reason why I didn't consider using it. I'm finicky like that.

What an old note...
To answer, you can set the width of the file upload field using size="50" or whatever the number of characters wide you want it to be.
