From the feedback, it seems like I should not go with the fluid width, and go back to the fixed width. What originally bothered me about this is the excessive whitespace on wider screens, but apparently this is desired.

Looks like I have some work to do.

I was going to say charge by the hour until I read that last line. I find thats always the easiest way.

How much do you charge for normal work (hourly)?

I think dropdown menus are a great idea, and when implemented well, they work well.

I also think that someone who isn't internet-savvy isn't going to really 'get' it. After all, there can only appear to be 5 links when there are really 50. I think its best to play around with them by yourself (for fun), but to keep it easy on your visitors and not ever use them..

There is a difference between being inspired by a design, and using the code of another design. If you use some of the code from another design, you must cite. If you are inspired, it is respectful to drop their name (perhaps in a post or on a page).

If you had to cite everything that inspired you, most themes would have 50MB footers full of citations- ideas emerge from other ideas.

I don't really see a purpose for it. You can get Diggs most popular stories right at digg.com. You can also subscribe to the most popular stories via RSS.

Why would you want to go somewhere else to see digg stories?

I wrote a theme for WP called SybmimDX.

I'm not sure if its anything close to what you're looking for (for all I know, people may hate the design). I like the design, and its very minimalistic.

Either way, here is the theme: SybmimDX, and here is the theme styled a bit differently: SybmimDX: Ghost.

I'd be open to you using it for Lingua if its something you like. Otherwise, good luck!

I never did a reboot. I also agree that it is rather humorous that it was the coolest thing to do two years ago, and no one does it anymore!

I think the footer certainly needs to be changed! it looks a bi funny because the sidebar doesn't extend the whole way down.

the only thing I dont like is the placement of the rule of one logo! I think it should replace your home link, and should absolutely be clickable!!
