I use wordpress as well for mine. Theres a great plugin called yapb for photo blogging with wp. I recently just converted all of my entries and theme to use yapb instead of using the post meta stuff to manage the entries.
Id also like to point out that pixelpost can be VERY trying when dealing with comments. The main reason I stuck with wordpress is the ease of using akismet to deal with spam.
I made my own template for wordpress on mine ( kpishdadi.com ), it's using the yapb plugin. I would stay away from pixelpost or anything similar. Anything that doesnt have akismet these days is really difficult maintaining.
Pretty! I love the way you did the dates
Nice! I gave ya a thumbsup
I've got them on my site but they're un obtrusive. I use the "share this" plugin by alex king. Now that you mention it... i dont think I've ever actually cilcked or used one of the links on anyone elses site.
I prefer scroll, but sometimes it's nice to have it fixed. It really depends on the bg image and the site design.
I use the alienskin exposure plugin to simulate different film effects sometimes. I also use a few sets that i made myself for sharpening & etc..
OH MY
if you know how a shutter works... one door follows the other... so they slide across synchronized and expose one piece of the frame at a time.
@publicenergy: when i develop at a photo center I usually bring the camera with me and show them how it has "each frame split into 4 frames". That way they don't get confused when you're trying to explain it to them. I've had a place actually discard my film before because they thought it was a bad roll!
@jlencion it is very fun. It has a little zip cord for rewinding the film. I don't even use the little viewfinder on mine. I just walk around pointing it and snapping pictures and wait til I process the photos to get a nice surprise of what I got pictures of :) To answer your question yes, it's 35mm :)
It's an old photo and my collection has grown slightly since, but this will give you a slight clue as to how much of a lomo nut I am :)
I participated in a group show for Toy Cameras here in Chicago last year. It was a lot of fun! My favorite by far is the supersampler (not pictured above). They break all of the time but the photos come out so great when you get a good one.
I love all of it. There are periods when I'm preparing for a show when I get so sick of proccessing and making prints of the same photo over and over again.
Those are the times when I love taking photos more... but when I'm not preparing for a show post proccessing is fun because you get to physically see what you've created... which is always neat.
The part I love the most would definately be seeing people come into the gallery and seeing the reactions they get when they see something you put a lot of thought & time into.
I'm not sure. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on a lens unless I knew the retailer was a reliable one. I've never heard of knockoff lenses in retail stores, but I suppose it depends on where you're buying from.
I buy most of my stuff from bhphotovideo.com, just to avoid sales tax.
As far as checking out lens quality/sharpness you can lookup tags on flickr and see examples of what other people are taking with it.
I was published in Bending Light Magazine issue 3, I didn't submit tho.
They came across one of my photos that was exhibited at a gallery in Chicago last year and asked me if they could put it in.
I submitted to JPG mag recently. Out of curiosity does anyone know how many average votes a photo gets that actually makes it in? One of my photos is at 98 votes and about 1000 views. I was wondering if they go by total votes or vote/view ratio or ???
