<description>&lt;p&gt;In Photoshop CS3 I usually just add a Black and White adjustment layer and then play around with the levels until I have a black and white conversion that I like. Before I had CS3, I used to add a Channel Mixer adjustment layer, click on Monchrome, and mess with the levels until I had a conversion I liked.&lt;/p&gt;
